Questors G.I.F.T. Class The Wired Word
 Questors Class Room 203 The class considers the sermon and Scripture of the day. Led by Dr. Mike Garrett.
 G.I.F.T. Class Activity Room “Growing in Faith Together”: Bible study, discussion. With Herb Bryan.
 Wired Word Room 405 Now studying the four Gospels. Led by Bill McFadyen.
 Fellowship Class The Chapel Uniform Bible lesson. Class of energetic and caring Grand Adults age 50 and older.
 Covenant Class Room 416 Follows the Standard Lesson Quarterly. Class of caring singles and couples age 55 and older.
 Calvin Class Rankin Building Uniform Bible lesson. Men in fellowship, serving God & the community.
 Friendship Class Room 413 The class  begins a study of the “Life of the Apostles” – what were their backgrounds, families, challenges, service, and as much as can be uncovered about their remaining days. Study books are available.

Tapestry 2.0 Yoga and Meditation
Dr. Mike Garrett Room 405 For the first five weeks of Wednesday Together, Dr. Garrett will be leading an exploration of “The Me I’d Like to Be.” The class looks at the historic practices Christians have used to aid their transformation in becoming more like Jesus. Beginning February 21st, the class will look at the meaning of the crucifixion in “Who Needs a Crucified Christ?”
Dr. Donna Fowler-Marchant Room 416 Donna’s Wednesday evening class is reading and discussing Wrestling with Grace: A Spirituality for the Rough Edges of Daily Life by Robert Morris.  The Goodreads website is a great place to shop for this book.
Tapestry 2.0/Kelly Sherrill Room 413 Studying Lisa Harper’s “The Gospel of Mark: The Jesus We’re Aching For.” This gospel highlights Jesus’ unparalleled spiritual power and authority.
Yoga and Meditation Room 232 Suitable for beginners, Susie McFadyen will lead this class exploring several styles of yoga, complemented by Christian-based, guided meditations. Please get instructor approval before joining.

Chorale Concert & Fundraiser @ Sanctuary
Feb 24 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
You are invited to a Methodist University Chorale Italy Trip Fundraising Concert: “Motets for Italy” sung by The Methodist University Chorale.Dan Forrest’s “Jubilate Deo” will also be performed by The Celebration Choir and chamber orchestra. A freewill offering will be collected to assist the chorale with their upcoming tour of Italy.


Faith and Family Hockey Night @ Crown Coliseum
Feb 24 @ 5:45 pm – 9:15 pm
The Fellowship heads out to the Crown Coliseum on Saturday, February 24, for a match-up between the Fayetteville Marksmen and the Pensacola Ice Flyers. Meet at the Crown before the 6 p.m. game. Tickets are $10 per person, with a maximum of $20 per family. Kids 3 and under are free. This is a family event, so kids are invited. Childcare will be provided, but we need to know in advance how many children will need childcare. Contact Jonathan West for more information.

Worship @ The Chapel
Feb 25 @ 8:30 am – 9:30 am

Regular worship at 8:30 a.m. is in the First Church Chapel. Sometimes special events may move this service to the Sanctuary where more seating is available. Note that Communion is offered (generally) at this service during the first Sunday of every month.

Get Ready! Get Set! Worship! @ TBA
Feb 25 @ 9:45 am – 10:45 am

For 1st graders and their parents. Four classes focus on the preparation for worship to introduce children and parents to the Sanctuary, theology and practice of worship, and the Sacraments. Classes being January 28 through February 25 with March 4 as a make-up day when children will be presented to the congregation. Parents should contact Britany Spivey for more information.

Worship @ The Sanctuary
Feb 25 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Regular worship at 11 a.m. is in the First Church Sanctuary. Note that Communion is offered the first Sunday (generally) of the month four times a year in the Sanctuary at the 11 a.m. service.

Catechism Class @ Room 207
Feb 25 @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

The class will have a rotating list of instructors. This question-and-answer format class covers some of the basic doctrines of our Presbyterian belief and faith. Subjects include Jesus, God, sin, covenants, the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments and the two sacraments (Lord’s Supper and baptism). Catechism is offered to 5th graders and any 6th graders who have not participated in the program. Contact Britany Spivey by January 17th if you have a child who would be interested in this program.

Women’s and High School Girls’ Ensemble @ Music Suite (Choir Room)
Feb 25 @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

All women and high school girls are invited to join the SSA ensemble, which will lead worship once a month from October through April. Under the direction of Dr. Marcia Heirman Mervin.

CRAVE Youth Group @ Activity Room, various

Crave head 1 Color The Sunday night youth group involves fellowship, a light meal, and Bible study for grades 6 through 12. Special events may also be scheduled before or during Sunday CRAVE, such as LazerTag and movie nights.
