Dr. Toney's Sunday School Class:
"The Books of Acts: Turning the World Upside Down"
Fellowship Building
Acts is the book in the New Testament that provides us with the dramatic history of the earliest church. The class will see how the Holy Spirit moved in those Christians and the early church. God’s actions in the church were frequently miraculous. This study will help us to see how God is moving in us, the church, and the world in 2012. The class meets in the Fellowship Hall by the stage.

Uniform Bible Lesson • Maude Bledsoe, others
The class was studying Psalms in the early Fall, but is now taking a journey through the Old Testament. In fact, the lesson tract is called, "Step by Step Though the Old Testament."
The Seekers Class
Room B1.5- 9:45 a.m.
Uniform Bible Lesson • Bill McFadyen, others
We named ourselves The Seekers (after the John Wayne movie). One of the things for which we seek is a better name. Another of the primary things we seek is bigger attendance. Our target market is parents of children who would come to Sunday School if the parents had a class that excited them. We are teaching on whatever the new testament lesson is for that Sunday’s sermon. Josh Barkman is the primary contact. Bill McFadyen is the primary teacher.
Class leaders believe their physical positioning in the basement just beneath Dr. Coker's office is symbolically appropriate.
Middle School Sunday School Class
Room 207 - 9:45 a.m.
Led by Marshall Steinle. Why does the Bible have so many numbers? Doesn’t God know numbers give us headaches? The class will looking at the numbers in the Bible like 40, 12, 6, etc., because God used those numbers for a reason. We will be learning the significance of these numbers and what they mean to scripture.
Senior High Sunday School Class
Youth Ministry Office in the basement - 9:45 a.m.
It’s more than just words. Charlie King and the Senior High Sunday School class will focus on the challenges young people face as active Christians. It is difficult in today’s society to live a life that reflects the love Christ has for us. The class will examine what the scripture says about these conflicts. |
