Winter/Spring Class Schedule
Adult Classes
"What Christ Thinks about the Church"
The Chapel * 6:30pm * Led by Dr. Coker
What does
Jesus think about the church? If Christ looked today at the church, what would he say? The Bible teaches that Jesus loves the church. But he loves it enough to speak the truth to it! Revelation 1-3 directs you to the mind, thought, and feelings of Jesus about the church - two thousand years ago and today! This class will consider Christ's letter to the seven churches of Asia Minor. Based on the book by Dr. John Stott of the same title, may our ears be opened to listen to "what the Spirit is saying to the churches!".
.
"Living Beyond Yourself"
Room B1 * 6:30pm * Led by Neill Legg
You can know the freedom of a life filled with the fruit of the Spirit. In Living Beyond Yourself, noted Bible teacher, Beth Moore, leads an in-depth study of the "fruit of the Spirit", from Galatians 5:22-23. Personal study, teaching sessions, and other online features will equip and empower you to live by the Spirit, be led by the Spirit, keep in step with the Spirit, and be filled with the Spirit. As a study participant, you will explore the characteristics of the "fruit of the Spirit" and what it means to live by the Spirit.
"Life of Paul"
The Goodwill Library * 6:30pm * Led by Dr. Bremer
Travel with the Apostle Paul to Philippi, Thessalonica, Athens, COrinth, Ephesus, and Rome. Photos of these sites will show ruins of many of the buildings that Paul himself would have entered. The goal of this study is a better understanding of the life setting of Paul's Epistles and a deeper understanding of how they apply to our lives. |
