Since First Presbyterian Church was founded in 1800, the church has grown with the surrounding community. Many of the other Presbyterian churches in Fayetteville have their roots in the congregation at First Presbyterian. Although it is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA, First Presbyterian follows a path that puts God first, closely followed by family and community.

That said, the pastors and the congregation also recognize that Christ’s Kingdom is global, and the congregation supports missions to Haiti and Mexico, and charitable causes worldwide. The pastors and staff here at First Presbyterian welcome newcomers to explore the opportunities that First Presbyterian and the fellowship of Jesus Christ offer.

Our mission at First Presbyterian Church is to serve Jesus Christ and share His gospel through meaningful worship, loving fellowship, spiritual growth, and compassionate outreach within our community and throughout the world.

First Presbyterian hosts services at 9 and 11 a.m. on Sundays the year round, and a Wednesday evening of fellowship that closely follows the traditional school year. Opportunities for worship and fellowship are available for all ages, and childcare is available during all worship services and almost all other church activities.
